The Climate Crisis Team is pleased to announce that UUCC is Neighborhood Sun’s Premier Partner for June!
Neighborhood Sun’s mission is to build stronger communities and empower neighborhoods to choose clean, renewable energy that doesn’t cost more than their current electricity. They provide shared solar energy for residents who can’t have or don’t want solar panels on their roof. The panels are installed offsite, where apartment residents, condo-dwellers, and homeowners alike can get a share of the energy output from the solar field. All the electricity is delivered through the normal utility provider, so no panels are on your property.
UUCC has worked with Neighborhood Sun since their inception to help promote local renewable energy. Over 60 families in our congregation have already signed up with them, and most recently, our Owen Brown Interfaith Center has also signed up! We are grateful for UUCC and OBIC’s support of this important Climate Crisis Team initiative!
