Volunteers Needed for Point-In-Time Count of Homeless Residents

Volunteers Needed for Point-In-Time Count of Homeless Residents

Please consider volunteering to help identify Howard County’s homeless families and youth, some of our most vulnerable residents.

Every 2 years the county is required to do a “Point In Time” count, in which they attempt to identify as much of the homeless population in the county as possible. This count is mandated by the state and federal governments for the county to get much-needed funding for certain programs. Capturing this information in this way isn’t very efficient … without your help.

About 100 volunteers are needed for two major events. Please visit the PIT Volunteers: Howard County Counts Events (PIT) page to read more and volunteer.
