Get Out the Vote, PATH Event Oct. 16 and Other Voting Information

People Acting Together in Howard (PATH) will hold a Get-Out-The-Vote Assembly Tuesday, October 16, 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Guilford. (Music performances will begin at 6:30 PM.)

Join with more than 600 of our neighbors representing the diverse PATH member congregations and organizations as we celebrate our unity, our hopes and dreams for Howard County and challenge elected leaders and candidates for local public offices to imagine change and offer more affordable housing, equitable and strong public schools, increased access to public transportation and greater inclusion and respect for our immigrant neighbors.

Many of you pledged to vote in the Maryland primary election and we encourage you to continue your civic responsibility and vote in the general election on November 6. PATH expects to mobilize more than 2500 voters.

Visit the Social Justice table at the UUCC Expo on September 16 to learn more about how you can help:

  • You can join our driver pool to take fellow UUCCers who need assistance to the polls. (We like to call this “Vuber!”)
  • You can sign up if you need assistance getting to the polls.
  • You can find your polling place here.
  • If you need an absentee ballot, you can get one here.
  • If you plan to use Early Voting, you can find polling places here.
  • If you are a new Maryland resident, have moved since the last election or have changed your name, you may need to register to vote. You can register online here.
