Hello UUCC High School and Middle School youth and parents,
The Warm Welcome Shelter will be open soon and we still need a lot of helping hands. The shelter is a partnership with the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center to provide food, transportation, and a warm place to sleep for county residents who are homeless. During our shelter week, we will host up to 25 people, most likely including families and children.
Dana Sohr has reserved Friday evening dinner for Middle School youth (Grades 6, 7, and 8), and Sunday evening dinner for High School youth (Quest and YRUU). We need many volunteers to help us extend a warm welcome to our shelter guests on those evenings. This is a great opportunity to live your values. To get involved:

You have three slots to choose from:
- 5:15-6:15 Dinner Setup (6)
- 6:00-7:00 pm Dinner Service (6)
- 6:30-8:00 pm Dinner Cleanup (6)
Parents, you can sign up for the Parent Chaperone slots. Please don’t take a student slot!
