Hello Parents!
We are so glad to welcome you to a new year of Religious Education at UUCC! If you are seeing this email, you have a child registered in the Compass Points (formerly Riddle & Mystery) class. You will see all the announcements about RE here or in the general RE news.
PLEASE NOTE: 6th grade Compass Points runs Sunday evening from 5-7 pm!
What’s Compass Points all about?
We welcome your sixth grader to a thought-provoking environment. This year is all about helping your child build their faith development. Our teachers are Mark Stephen, Steve McGovern, and Jeannie Parr. We need a class parent to help with snack coordination, and could use another class assistant or teacher!
Compass Points guides adolescents on a yearlong spiritual journey with opportunities to explore their identities, their beliefs, their Unitarian Universalist faith, their relationships with others and their connections to the world. During the year, your youth will be talking through life’s big questions, learn about Unitarian Universalism, and begin to think independently about their faith. As a parent, you will receive a short note each week with some information about what your children discovered, so that you can expand the ideas at home all week!
Sunday school classes start on September 17th at 5 pm!
And remember; say hi to someone new each day this week, as part of our month of Welcoming!
