Does your new phone have features that you don’t know how to use? Can you never get that calendar to show up the right way?
Is your computer cluttered with sketchy looking pop-ups? Are you confused by your Facebook privacy settings? Do you need to send out save-the-dates for your upcoming dinner party?
Following last year’s success with the odd jobs fundraiser, our UUCC teens have been honest with themselves. This year’s youth group isn’t so great at yard work… but they are great with technology and graphic design! And they’d like to put those skills to use by offering tech support and graphic design services to the UUCC community.
How does it work?
Send an email to oddjobs@uucolumbia.net describing your tech support or graphic design need. Cam Zach, UUCC youth and tech support coordinator, will pair you with another UUCC teen who will be assigned to your job. They’ll schedule a time for you to meet with your support person, likely at coffee hour on a Sunday morning.
How much does it cost?
The teens of UUCC are making plans for our West Virginia service trip in July, and we need your support. We are happy to do the job for you simply to get to know members of the congregation and tell you about our plans. Donations toward the trip are greatly appreciated, but not required.

What is the service trip?
We will be working with Big Creek People in Action on home construction projects for community members in McDowell County, West Virginia. In the coming months, we will be working together to raise funds to cover supplies, transportation, and food for a week, to gain practical skills that will help us on these projects, and to learn about the history and social context of McDowell County.
Yes, I have a request!
Send an email to YRUU members at oddjobs@uucolumbia.net to request tech support or graphic design services. Thank you!
