Dear YRUU families –
This Sunday, November 19, will be our last regular meeting before the Thanksgiving holiday! We’ll be having a relaxing evening – bring a board game to share if you’d like! We’ll talk about how we can be most welcoming to our Quest class when we are all together for the overnight on December 1 (signup is here).
One more reminder that we will be serving dinner to our Warm Welcome Shelter guests on Sunday, December 10 in lieu of a regular meeting. We are working with Dana Sohr and Paula Nagy to coordinate the meal – if any one (parent or youth!) would like to work on this more closely, please let Jen know! This is a part of our service to the community and work for social justice. We’ll want as many youth as possible to be on hand to help serve the meal and to simply spend time in community with our guests.
If you can help out with this, it would be a wonderful act of service! Thank you so much!
Also this Sunday November 19, after youth RE, the UUCC community will gather at 7:30 p.m. for a Vespers service in honor of the Transgender Day of Remembrance. This will be a special worship opportunity and I invite all youth and families to consider staying for it.
